Bid Thine Angels Guard the Furrows

(I) am sowing, daily sowing
Countless seeds of good and ill...

Thou who knowest all (my) weakness,
Leave (me) not to sow alone!
Bid thine angels guard the furrows
Where (my) precious grain is sown,
'Till the fields are crowned with glory,
Filled with mellow, ripened ears,
Filled with fruit of life eternal
From the seed (I) sowed in tears.

Hymn 216 personalised - "Hymns" - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

God grant me peace to know what seeds I can sow, and to also know what seeds I cannot sow today.

Paths That I Do Not Know...

...But if, by a still small voice (You) call
To paths that I do not know,
I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine:
I'll go where you want me to go.

Perhaps today there are loving words
Which (Thou woulds)t have me speak:...
O Saviour, if thou wilt be my guide,
Tho dark and rugged the way,
My voice shall echo the message sweet:
I'll say what you want me to say.

There's surely somewhere a lowly place
In earth's harvest fields so wide
Where I may labour through life's short day
For (Thou) the crucified.
So trusting my all to thy tender care,
And knowing thou lovest me,
I'll do thy will with a heart sincere:
I'll be what you want me to be.

I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord
Over mountains or plains or sea;
I'll say what you want me to say dear Lord;
I'll be what you want me to be.

Varied Seasons

"One of the challenges of this mortal existence is to not allow the stresses and strains of life to get the better of us - to endure the varied seasons of life while remaining positive, even optimistic."
